Foo Fighters

Dave Grohl recorded the first Foo Fighters album alone in 1994, months after Nirvana ended, and turned the project into a band that has outlasted almost all of its 1990s contemporaries on rock radio. "Everlong" was The End's number one song of 1997 and ranks second among all songs of the 1990s in the RockLists decade consensus, driven by its dominance of later all-time countdowns.

"Best of You" was the top song of 2005 in the RockLists consensus, number one on CRNC and number two on Y100, Radio & Records and The Buzz, "The Pretender" was number one on KROQ and 91X in 2007, and "My Hero", "Learn to Fly" and "Times Like These" round out one of the deepest catalogs in the archive. Foo Fighters rank fifteenth among most-charted artists.
