Copyright and takedown policy
RockLists respects the rights of creators and broadcasters. This page explains how to report material on the site that you believe infringes your copyright.
What is on RockLists
The archive records facts about radio countdowns: which station aired a countdown, when, and which songs by which artists appeared in which position. Station names are used only to identify the source of a countdown; RockLists is not affiliated with any station. Descriptions, histories and summaries on the site are written by RockLists. Members can also publish their own lists and short notes.
Reporting an infringement
If you believe content on RockLists infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to act for, send a notice to [email protected] with:
- the work you believe is infringed;
- the address (URL) of each page on RockLists where the material appears;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice and, where it was posted by a member, tell that member. Members who repeatedly post infringing material lose their accounts.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address explaining why, with your contact details and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address.
