"Sleep Alone" was the first thing Two Door Cinema Club let out of Beacon, the Northern Irish band's second album, in 2012. Kevin Baird, Sam Halliday and Alex Trimble wrote it together, Jacknife Lee produced it for Kitsuné, Sam Bell recorded it and Mike Crossey mixed it.
The song travelled well beyond the album. It landed on the official soundtrack of the EA Sports game FIFA 13, and television picked it up too, placing it in season four of The Vampire Diaries and series two of The Dumping Ground.
