"I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked" is Norwegian rocker Ida Maria's 2008 calling card from Fortress 'Round My Heart, a bratty, grinning punk romp she wrote entirely by herself. The tune borrows from "The Tra La La Song", the opening theme of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, and the video tips its hat to that show too.
In Britain it barged onto the singles chart at number 18 on downloads alone in July 2008, eventually climbing to 13, and it also cracked the Irish chart and Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2008 in Australia. America had to wait ten more months: the single arrived there on May 26, 2009, and once the album came out in the States the song climbed onto the modern rock chart.
