"Get Up" was the single from Redhead, Bleu's 2003 jump to a major label, put out through Aware Records, the Columbia Records imprint. He wrote it himself and plays guitar alongside Bill Guerra, with John Cutler on electric piano, Max Toste on bass and Dylan Halacy on drums, and John Fields handled the mix. The vocal credits hold the surprise: The Brown Rainbow and the Mansfield Men's Choir are both listed, which is a lot of throats for one single.
Redhead came out in two versions and spread its songs well beyond the radio: "Somebody Else" turned up in Spider-Man, and "I Won't Go Hollywood" landed in both Win a Date with Tad Hamilton! and American Dreamz.
