Redhead by Bleu
Redhead is an album by Bleu, released in 2003. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 3 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Get Up”, on 3 lists with a best position of #71.
Redhead was Bleu's step up to the majors, released in 2003 through Aware Records, the Columbia imprint, and it's a record that aims every chorus at the rafters. Bleu, the stage name of William James McAuley III, followed his earlier Headroom with a set built on big hooks and bigger ambitions, led by the single "Get Up".
The songs got around. "Somebody Else" turned up on the Spider-Man soundtrack, and "I Won't Go Hollywood" landed in both Win a Date With Tad Hamilton! and American Dreamz. The album came out in two versions, and the original includes "Sayonara", with Puffy AmiYumi singing backup. In hindsight it's a calling card for the career that followed, writing and producing for the likes of Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and the Jonas Brothers.
