About 105.7 The Point
KPNT (105.7 FM, "105-7 The Point") is a commercial radio station licensed to Collinsville, Illinois, and serving Greater St. Louis; it is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting. The station signed on in March 1967 as KSGM-FM in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and after hot adult contemporary and album rock formats it took the KPNT call sign and flipped to modern rock on February 17, 1993. Emmis Communications bought it in 2000 and shifted it to a harder rock sound, and in 2006 it widened the playlist to more active rock under the slogan "Everything Alternative".
