"WusYaName" landed in 2021 as the second single pulled from Call Me If You Get Lost, Tyler, the Creator's seventh studio album, with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Ty Dolla $ign along for the ride and a retro-themed video to match. Tyler produced it himself and helped record it alongside Jason Goldberg and Victor Wainstein, and Neal Pogue mixed.
It's a throwback R&B cut with West Coast hip-hop in its bones, built on a sample of H-Town's "Back Seat (Wit No Sheets)", with Tyler rap-singing his way through a road-trip infatuation with a mysterious woman. The production and his delivery got singled out, it became the album's highest-charting track, and it earned a nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 64th Grammy Awards.
