"I Don't Know" sits third on Learn & Burn, the 2010 album by Canadian band the Sheepdogs, and it's boogie rock with the windows rolled down, a loose, sunny strut that sounds dug out of a vintage record crate. Ewan Currie wrote it and produced it with the band, and Bill Moriarty mixed it.
There are two recordings: the album take and another on the Five Easy Pieces EP, and the EP version is the one Canadian rock stations tend to spin. Then came the Juno for Single of the Year, beating City and Colour, Hedley, Nickelback and Johnny Reid, a result The Globe and Mail and the Winnipeg Free Press both called an upset.
