"Let's Get Rocked" arrived in March 1992 from Adrenalize, Def Leppard's fifth album, the band's first release since guitarist Steve Clark died, though you'd never guess it from its ear-to-ear grin. Joe Elliott has called it a pressure valve: while they were working on "White Lightning" they needed something to lighten the mood, so this became the last song written for the record, knocked out in two and a half days with Bart Simpson as its muse and recorded in 10.

The lyric is a cartoon of a kid defying his parents, and Steve Barron's computer-animated video, state of the art back then, played along. Mike Shipley produced with the band and mixed; executive producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange shares the writing with Elliott, Phil Collen and Rick Savage. It topped Billboard's Album Rock Tracks and made No. 2 in the UK.
