CIV's "Can't Wait One Minute More" came out in 1995 as the hit off Set Your Goals, the punk band's debut album on Lava Records, and it's still the song that record is best known for. Don Fury and Walter Schreifels produced it, and the band called in a ringer for the mic: Lou Koller of Sick of It All turns up as a guest lead vocalist.
That producer credit undersells Schreifels. The album's inlay calls him a co-producer, yet he has said he was its main songwriter, even though he was never a member of the band. The song got a music video, as did "Choices Made", and the album left a mark of its own: a Bay Area pop-punk and hardcore outfit later took Set Your Goals as its name.
