“Your Power” by Billie Eilish

"Your Power" was the third single from Happier Than Ever, Billie Eilish's second album, released on Darkroom and Interscope in April 2021, and it's a quiet song with a hard spine. Over a spare acoustic guitar, she pleads with people who hold power to stop abusing it, aiming mostly at men who prey on vulnerable women, and tells the story of a high school girl drawn into a damaging relationship with an older man.

She wrote it with her brother Finneas O'Connell, who produced and plays acoustic guitar, percussion and synths; Rob Kinelski mixed. Eilish directed the video herself, singing alone in the Simi Valley as an anaconda coils around her, and it won Best Video with a Social Message at the MTV Video Music Awards. Variety and The Guardian both named it among the best songs of 2021.
