Beck's "Colors" first appeared in October 2017, and the credits show a song built almost entirely by two people. Beck and Greg Kurstin wrote it together, produced it together and traded off the bass, guitar and keyboard parts, with Kurstin also sitting behind the drum kit and Beck taking the lead vocal.
Outside the pair, Roger Joseph Manning Jr. adds background vocals, Serban Ghenea and John Hanes handled the mix, and the engineering crew runs deep, from Julian Burg and David Greenbaum to Alex Pasco and Jesse Shatkin, with Beck and Kurstin pitching in on the recording as well.
