“I Won't Give In” by Asking Alexandria

"I Won't Give In" was Asking Alexandria starting over in public. Out in 2015 as the first single from The Black, the English band's fourth album, it introduced Denis Stoff, formerly of Make Me Famous and Down & Dirty, as the singer taking over from Danny Worsnop, who had left that January.

Stoff wrote it with guitarist Ben Bruce and drummer James Cassells, and Bruce confirmed the words were aimed at Worsnop, whose exit he called inevitable; Worsnop, for his part, answered with good grace. Joey Sturgis produced and mixed it for Sumerian, with Cameron Liddell on guitar next to Bruce and Sam Bettley on bass. A lyric video on YouTube announced it, and the full video that followed was cut together from footage of the band on the Vans Warped Tour.
