Love Is the King by Jeff Tweedy
Love Is the King is an album by Jeff Tweedy, released in 2020. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 2 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Guess Again”, on 2 lists with a best position of #49.
Love Is the King, Jeff Tweedy's fourth solo studio album, came out on dBpm Records on October 23, 2020, and like so much music that year, it was born of cancelled plans. With Wilco's tour wiped out by COVID-19, the Wilco frontman holed up at the Loft in Chicago in April 2020 and made a record in lockdown, co-producing with Tom Schick and bringing in his sons Spencer and Sam.
It's a warm, homespun, front-porch sort of album, the sound of a family making music to get through a strange season, and "Guess Again" finds Tweedy at his most easygoing and sly.
