Brain Candy, the third studio album from Windang, New South Wales surf rock duo Hockey Dad, came out on 31 July 2020 through Farmer & The Owl. Zach Stephenson sings and plays guitar and Billy Fleming drums, and following Blend Inn the pair make a lot of noise for two people.
It's scrappy, sun-bleached guitar rock with a nervy streak, fuzzed-up riffs and big singalong hooks, with "Germaphobe", "Itch" and "I Missed Out" among the highlights. It went straight to number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and earned a Best Album nomination at the 2021 Rolling Stone Australia Awards.
