Blend Inn by Hockey Dad
Blend Inn is an album by Hockey Dad, released in 2018. 4 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 4 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Join the Club”, on 1 list with a best position of #18.
Blend Inn, the second album from Hockey Dad, arrived on 9 February 2018, and it's the sound of two mates from Windang in New South Wales roughing up their surf rock until it bites. Zach Stephenson sings and plays guitar, Billy Fleming drums, and with John Goodmanson producing, the duo sound bigger and meaner than a two-piece has any right to, fuzzed-out riffs and post-punk tension running under the sunny melodies.
"Homely Feeling" led the way as the first single, with "Join the Club", "I Wanna Be Everybody" and "Sweet Release" following it out of the garage. The album was nominated for Australian Album of the Year at the J Awards in 2018. It picked up where Boronia left off, and Brain Candy followed in 2020.
