About WLOY
WLOY is the non-commercial college radio station of Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore, broadcasting as a low-power unlicensed Part 15 signal on 1620 AM, on campus cable and online. Campus radio at Loyola began in 1975 with a carrier-current station (WVLC, later WLCR) that closed in 1996. The university built new facilities in Bellarmine Hall in 2002, and WLOY began full-time operations on March 19, 2003, with programming hosted mainly by students.
