Weezer opened the OK Human era in January 2021 with "All My Favorite Songs", the first single from their 14th album, and it swapped the hard-rock bluster of the Van Weezer singles for baroque chamber pop. Rivers Cuomo sings lead over real orchestral color: Tara Helen O'Connor on flute and piccolo, Erik Ralske on French horn, Alan Stepansky on cello, Pavel Vinnitsky on clarinet and bass clarinet. It even starts out in A-flat major before sliding into E major for good.
Cuomo said the title spells out his own taste in music, a soft spot for the mopey stuff, and Stereogum liked how the bright, bouncy tune rubs against the gloomy words. Jake Sinclair produced, and AJR pick up a featured credit.
