Papa Roach went looking for fresh blood on "Help," a 2017 single from Crooked Teeth, their ninth studio album. They teamed with two young producers on the rise, Nicholas Furlong and Colin Brittain, to find a sound that tied the Infest days to something more current, and both share the writing credit with Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance and Anthony Esperance.
The verses ride the bass, then the chorus floods in with heavy guitars and synths as Shaddix delivers a message about surviving mental health struggles. Rock Sound heard a cry for help set to music. It held number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart for six straight weeks, and Darren Craig's video puts a man in a bunny suit through one misfortune after another.
