“Go!” by M83 featuring Mai Lan

M83's "Go!" comes from Junk, the French electronic band's seventh studio album, released on 8 April 2016 through Naïve in France and Mute in the US, their first in five years and the first without longtime singer and keyboardist Morgan Kibby. Mai Lan sings lead here, wrote the song with Anthony Gonzalez and adds backing vocals alongside him.

The credits read like a dare. Steve Vai, of all people, tears off the guitar solo, Lyle Workman adds electric guitar, a brass section of Jordan Katz, Elizabeth Lea and David Ralicke joins Ian Young's saxophone, and a six-voice choir piles on top. Gonzalez produced it with Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who also plays bass, keyboards and tambourine, while Loïc Maurin drums. Subtle it isn't, and that's the point.
