M83 put out "Do It, Try It" as a single in March 2016, ahead of Junk, the French electronic band's seventh album. Anthony Gonzalez wrote it, sings lead and backing vocals, and produced it with Justin Meldal-Johnsen, who plays bass, banjo and keyboards, with more keys from Gonzalez and Jonathan Bates.
The David Wilson video didn't turn up until August 2017, and it's a riot: a fast-food joint called Grab My Junk, with mascots that look like the creatures on the album cover, where two bickering parents lip-sync the song while their son's drawings of heroes and monsters spring to life and wreck the place, right up to a kaleidoscopic finale that ends in one enormous burp. The song also turned up in the Season 8 finale of Letterkenny.
