"Tennis Court" was the second single from Pure Heroine, Lorde's debut album, released in Australia and New Zealand on 7 June 2013, and this is Flume's remix of it. The New Zealand singer wrote the song with Joel Little, who produced the original, and it finds her taking a hard look at the music business she'd only just walked into: new fame on one side, nostalgia for Auckland on the other.
The original rode hip-hop beats, sparse synths and an electronic pulse, and critics liked what they heard. It went to number one in New Zealand and 20 in Australia, went triple platinum in both, and Joel Kefali directed its video as one unbroken shot, with Lorde staring down the camera the whole way through.
