“Lost In The Echo” by Linkin Park

"Lost in the Echo" came off Living Things, Linkin Park's fifth album, in 2012, and it went by "Holding Company" while the band were recording it that March. The whole band shares the music credit, Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda wrote the words and share the vocals, and Shinoda produced it with Rick Rubin, with Manny Marroquin mixing.

It caught its own makers off guard. Shinoda, the band's rapper and producer, told The Huffington Post it was one of the moments that decided what the album would be about, and although the band usually turned their noses up at anything that sounded like their old material, this one won them over, the warmest response his ideas had drawn from them in years. It later went to radio, and critics gave it mixed to positive reviews.
