"One of My Lies" is on Kerplunk!, the second Green Day album, which Lookout! Records put out in the UK in December 1991 and in the US the following month. Billie Joe Armstrong wrote the words, the music is credited to the whole band, and it's the first Green Day record with Tré Cool on drums, taking over from John Kiffmeyer, who had left for college. Armstrong sings and plays guitar and Mike Dirnt plays bass.
The album was made with Andy Ernst at Art of Ears Studios in San Francisco, in sessions that started in May 1991, broke off so the band could go back on tour and picked up again in September. Ernst produced this one with the band and engineered and mixed it himself.
