"Sleepless" was Flume's debut single, out on Future Classic in August 2011 and later folded into his self-titled 2012 album. He was still unsigned when he sent it, along with "Over You" and "Paper Thin", into an original artists contest the label was running; he came second, and Future Classic signed him anyway.
It's the track that got his foot in the door, and the title alone sets a restless, after-hours mood. Jezzabell Doran, George Lewis Jr. and Jesse Sewell share the writing credit with Flume himself.
