"The Architect" comes from Vantage Point, the fifth album by Belgian rock band dEUS, released across Europe on 18 April 2008. The band wrote the music together, and Tom Barman supplied the words.
The record marked a couple of firsts for a group that had long been a moving target: it was the first dEUS album made by the same lineup as the one before it, and the first they recorded in a studio of their own, built in Borgerhout, near Antwerp. That stability pays off here in a tight, confident, strutting rock song that sounds like a band finally at home in its own skin.
