The title track of Charley Crockett's second studio album, "In the Night" came out on June 6, 2016, on Son of Davy through Field Day Records, and Crockett wrote it alone, words and music. He has said he set out on that record to fold in all the sounds he had picked up from New Orleans, Dallas and Austin over the years, and that for once he had the resources to chase them all the way down.
The album didn't stay put, either. After Crockett signed with Thirty Tigers it was reissued twice, first in 2019 and again in 2021.
