About KXT
KXT 91.7 (call sign KKXT) is a listener-supported public radio station licensed to Dallas, Texas and owned by North Texas Public Broadcasting. The station signed on in 1950 as KVTT and broadcast Christian music and teaching programs until 2009, when North Texas Public Broadcasting bought it for $18 million and relaunched it as the adult album alternative station KXT 91.7 on November 9, 2009. The Dallas Observer named KXT the Metroplex's "Best Music Radio Station" in 2016.
