"Act Yr Age" was Bluejuice's opening shot from Company in 2011, which turned out to be the Australian indie rockers' third and last album. The songwriting credit is a full-band pile-on, six names long: Alexander Burnett, James Matthew Cibej, Jerry Craib, James William Hauptmann, Jake Stone and Stav Yiannoukas.
Beat Magazine heard a cracking pop song in it, one that stood well clear of the chart filler around it. The J Awards shortlisted it for Australian Song of the Year, and Sam Bennetts' video, out that October, earned a Best Video nod at the 2012 ARIA Music Awards. The track found a second life in 2013, when Bliss n Eso sampled it for their own "Act Your Age".
