“Sober” by Bartees Strange

"Sober" sits on Wants Needs, Bartees Strange's 2025 EP, and the producer's chair is crowded: Strange shares it with Jack Antonoff, Lawrence Rothman and Yves Rothman, and Andrew Scheps mixed the result. The music is credited to Bartees Cox, with Cox and Steph Marziano splitting the words.

Strange sings and plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar and synthesizer, and Antonoff pitches in on acoustic guitar, synth and drums alongside drummer Jordyn Blakely. Graham Richman stacks up piano, organ and more synth, John Daise and Joe Kennedy share the bass, Daniel Kleederman adds electric guitar and Chris Connors more acoustic, and Zem Audu's saxophone gives the whole thing an extra shot of color.
