"Please Don't Move to Melbourne" is the second single from Like Love, the eighth album by Australian indie rock band Ball Park Music, released in 2025. Frontman Sam Cromack wrote it, and its chorus had been kicking around for years before the band started on the record; he dug it back out and built the rest of the song during the sessions.
Despite the title, it isn't a dig at Melbourne. Cromack has said the city is just a placeholder for the pang of watching close friends and loved ones pack up and leave, and that any other city would have done the same job. Guitarist Dean Hanson directed the video and shot it in Brisbane. At the APRA Music Awards of 2026 it was up for Most Performed Australian Work and took home Most Performed Alternative Work.
