R.E.V.O., a 2012 EP on Columbia, came between My Rock and a release of the same name for Walk Off the Earth, the Burlington, Ontario, crew who made their name with inventive cover videos on YouTube. The band's sound runs on ukuleles, theremin and looped samples, all of it produced by multi-instrumentalist Gianni "Luminati" Nicassio, with Mike Taylor on keyboards in this era.
That homemade, everyone-grab-an-instrument spirit carries over to their own songs, bright indie pop built to be clapped along to. "Red Hands" is the one that turned up on the countdowns, years later.
