Endless Summer Vacation by Miley Cyrus

Endless Summer Vacation, Miley Cyrus's eighth studio album, landed on March 10, 2023, her first for Columbia after she left RCA following Plastic Hearts. Where that record went for synth-pop, rock and glam, this one trades the leather for sunlight: a pop and dance-pop set made mostly in Los Angeles, the city whose pull shapes the whole concept, and sequenced to run like a single day. Mike WiLL Made-It, Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin and Tyler Johnson share the production with Cyrus herself, and Brandi Carlile and Sia drop in as guests.

"Flowers" was the opening shot, a cool, strutting groove that spent eight weeks at number one in the US, topped the charts in 36 other countries and won Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance at the Grammys. "River" and "Jaded" followed, and "Used to Be Young" joined later in the year. Critics praised the production and her singing, and the album was up for Album of the Year.
