Chosen is an EP by Maneskin, released in 2017. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 12 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Beggin'”, on 12 lists with a best position of #2.
Chosen, released on 8 December 2017, is the debut EP from Måneskin, the Rome four-piece that had just finished second on the eleventh season of X Factor Italia under coach Manuel Agnelli. It's a snapshot of a former street band caught mid-leap onto the TV stage: Damiano David's swaggering vocals, Victoria De Angelis on bass, Thomas Raggi on guitar and Ethan Torchio on drums, running through two English-language originals, the title song and "Recovery", plus a clutch of the covers they played on the show.
It reached number 3 on the Italian albums chart and went platinum at home. The sleeper was their strutting, glam-flecked take on The Four Seasons' "Beggin'", which only took off after the band won Eurovision in 2021 and has since piled up more than two billion Spotify streams, far outrunning everything else on the record.
