Anthem of the Peaceful Army by Greta Van Fleet

Anthem of the Peaceful Army, Greta Van Fleet's first full-length album, arrived on October 19, 2018, after two EPs, Black Smoke Rising and From the Fires, had already put the Frankenmuth, Michigan, band at the top of the rock charts. It's a family business: the Kiszka brothers, Josh singing, his identical twin Jake on guitar and Sam on bass and keys, with Danny Wagner behind the kit. They play classic rock like it never went anywhere, all wailing vocals, swaggering riffs and a wide-eyed, peace-and-love grandeur the title wears proudly on its sleeve.

"When the Curtain Falls" went out first in July and became the band's third number one on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, with "You're the One" following around release. The album sold 87,000 copies in its first week, more than anything else in the US, and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 while topping the Rock, Hard Rock and Top Album Sales charts.
