Gravity is an album by Bullet for My Valentine, released in 2018. 1 song from it has charted on rock radio countdowns, with 2 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Over It”, on 2 lists with a best position of #25.
Gravity, Bullet for My Valentine's sixth studio album, came out on 29 June 2018, their first for Spinefarm Records and the start of a new era for the Bridgend band. Founding drummer Michael "Moose" Thomas was gone, replaced by former Pitchshifter drummer Jason Bowld, and bassist Jamie Mathias made his first full contribution to a record, alongside mainstays Matthew Tuck on vocals and rhythm guitar and Michael Paget on lead guitar.
The sound swerved hard. Instead of the band's familiar heavy metal charge, Gravity leans toward nu metal, heavy and brooding, looping back to the band's earliest days as Jeff Killed John. Tuck's melodies sit front and centre, wrapped in heavy, down-tuned churn. "Over It" was the first taste, premiered on BBC Radio 1 on 1 April 2018.
