About FM 102/1
WLUM (102.1 FM) is a radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The frequency signed on in 1960 as WMKE and took the WLUM call letters in 1979; after disco and rhythmic formats it played modern rock from 1994, and after spells as adult album alternative and active rock it returned to alternative rock in 2002. In July 2006 it relaunched as "FM 102.1" with a more diverse playlist that included indie rock. After the station's sale to the Educational Media Foundation (K-Love Inc.), the alternative format ended in 2025 and WLUM began airing the Air1 contemporary worship format on October 28, 2025.
