"Zeit", German for "time", is the title track of Rammstein's eighth studio album and the first single from it, out in March 2022, and it finds the Neue Deutsche Härte heavyweights in ballad mode. The writing credit is split six ways, among Richard Z. Kruspe, Paul Landers, Till Lindemann, Christian Lorenz, Oliver Riedel and Christoph Schneider. Olsen Involtini produced it with the band and mixed it, the Konzertchor Dresden adds choir vocals, Sven Helbig is credited as arranger and J. J. Duvét sings backing vocals.
Germany took it to heart: it became the band's third number-one single there, following "Deutschland" in 2019, and it was up for Best Single at the 2022 Kerrang! Awards. Actor and musician Robert Gwisdek directed the video.
