“Keith” by Playlunch

"Keith" is Australian band Playlunch's 2025 single about the neighbour everybody has had: a furious local who polices the parking on his street like it's a border crossing. It later landed on their second album, Sex Ed.

One reviewer traced it to a real tradie from the band's Hotham Street days and praised its driving guitar riff, thumping bass and euphoric electropop lift, and that's the recipe: a pub-rock grudge dressed up for the dancefloor. Playlunch leaned into the gag, setting up a phone hotline where fans could call in stories of their own Keiths, and the video cast former AFL player Barry Hall as the man himself.
