“Humility” by Gorillaz featuring George Benson

"Humility" was the first taste of The Now Now, the sixth studio album from British virtual band Gorillaz, and it came with American jazz guitarist George Benson riding shotgun: he plays guitar, sings alongside Damon Albarn and shares the writing credit with Albarn, James Ellis Ford and Remi Kabaka Jr. Zane Lowe broke the news of the album on 30 May 2018, Albarn premiered the song on Beats 1 the next day, and it arrived on Parlophone paired with "Lake Zurich".

Ford does the heavy lifting on drums, bass, synths and guitar, and he produced it with Albarn and Kabaka, while Stephen Sedgwick recorded and mixed. The video, shot in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, stars Jack Black. The single reached 85 on the Hot 100 and 7 on Billboard's Hot Rock Songs, and remixes from Superorganism and DJ Koze followed in July.
