“Cha Cha Twist” by Detroit Cobras

"Cha Cha Twist" comes off Mink, Rat or Rabbit, the Detroit Cobras' debut album, which hit the racks in February 1998. The band produced it together with Al Sutton, who also engineered and mixed, and the rhythm section on the track is Damian Lang on drums and Jeff Meier on bass. The album's name is borrowed from Irma Thomas's "Hittin on Nothing", from a line in which the singer gripes that the mink coat she was promised never materialised.
