"Gun Metal Grey" comes from Long in the Tooth, the Budos Band's 2020 album, and the credits read like the roll call for a small army. Andrew Greene and Dave Guy play trumpet and Jared Tankel baritone saxophone, Thomas Brenneck plays guitar, Mike Deller organ and Daniel Foder bass, and Brian Profilio sits at the drum kit while a percussion squad piles on around him: Rob Lombardo on congas, Richard Terrana on cowbell and Moon Bancs on timpani. Simon Guzmán and Jens Jungkurth recorded it, and Brenneck mixed it with Gabriel Roth.
Timpani and cowbell on the same track tell you this crew has no interest in playing it small.
