"Conrad" is a track from I Forget Where We Were, the second album by English singer-songwriter Ben Howard, which Island released on 20 October 2014 as the follow-up to his debut, Every Kingdom. Howard wrote it alone, words and music, and he sings lead and shares the electric guitar parts with Mickey Smith.
His drummer Chris Bond produced it and plays on it, Andrew Bond engineered it and added organ, and Mike Crossey mixed it, while both Bonds, Smith and India Bourne fill in the backing vocals. The whole album was cut almost entirely live, out at Start Point Farm Studios in Devon, and that is the appeal here: the sound of a small band leaning into the same room, not a stack of overdubs.
