"Bury Me" comes off Gravity, Alejandro Escovedo's 1992 debut album, and he wrote it alone, words and music, and sings it himself. Stephen Bruton plays both acoustic and electric guitar, Terry Wilson is on bass, Dennis Kenmore on drums and Chris Knight on keyboards, and Bill Averbach's trumpet is in there too.
As for the album around it, Trouser Press heard heartbreak, a spiritual bent and the clear vision of a grown musician in Gravity, and praised the electric folk sound Escovedo forged to carry it.
