“Get Dark” by AFI

"Get Dark" was the song AFI used to announce The Missing Man, their 2018 EP, and they rolled it out with a little theater. On October 25, every photo of frontman Davey Havok vanished from the band's Instagram, and a new press shot showed nothing but a silhouette where he should have been. Rumors spread that he'd quit. He hadn't: a day later the band sprang "Get Dark" on Spotify and iTunes without warning, along with news of the EP, which arrived on December 7 through Ex Noctem Nacimur as their first EP since 2002.

Behind the stunt it's largely Jade Puget's show. He wrote the music, produced and mixed it, and recorded it with Paul Fig, while Havok supplied the words.
