A Bluetones Companion, a 1995 EP on Polydor, catches the Hounslow band early, two years after they came together in West London, most of them out of an earlier group called the Bottlegarden. Its calling card is "Bluetonic", all chiming guitar and easy, loping melody, with Adam Devlin on guitar, Mark Morriss singing, Mark's younger brother Scott on bass and Eds Chesters on drums. It's a bright, jangling first look at a band that would go on to rack up a long string of UK hits.
