Into the Now arrived in 2004, the first thing Tesla put out after Replugged Live, and it's where the Sacramento hard rock band's comeback stopped being a victory lap. They had split in 1996 and regrouped in 2000 for a tour and a live record both called Replugged; here the classic lineup is back in the room making something new: Jeff Keith singing, Frank Hannon and Tommy Skeoch on guitars, Brian Wheat on bass and Troy Luccketta on drums.

Released through Noise Records and Sanctuary, it's plain, unvarnished hard rock from a band that rose with the hair-metal boom and outlasted it, all chunky riffs and Keith's sandpaper howl. The title track and "Caught in a Dream" were the songs radio held on to. Skeoch would be gone by 2006, and Real to Reel came next.
