Steal This Album! is an album by System of a Down, released in 2002. 3 songs from it have charted on rock radio countdowns, with 28 countdown appearances in total. The biggest is “Innervision”, on 23 lists with a best position of #37.
Steal This Album!, System of a Down's third album, landed on American and Columbia on November 26, 2002, with Rick Rubin and guitarist Daron Malakian sharing the producer's credit. It's the Glendale band at their most unruly: Serj Tankian lurching from operatic wail to cartoon yelp, Malakian's riffs snapping from jackhammer to jig, and Shavo Odadjian and John Dolmayan knocking the floor out from underneath.
"Innervision" is the one rock radio latched onto, a surging, full-throated charge, while "I-E-A-I-A-I-O" and "Chic 'N' Stu" show off the band's knack for turning pure absurdity into a pit-starter. It peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200.
