Glorious Heights, the debut album from the Australian art-pop singer-songwriter Montaigne, arrived on Sony Music Australia in August 2016, a few months after Jessica Cerro's voice had already been all over Hilltop Hoods' hit "1955". Here the stage is all theirs, and they fill it: big, theatrical art pop built around a voice that swoops, cracks and refuses to sit politely in the mix, with "Because I Love You" among the songs that made it onto the radio.
It climbed to number 4 on the ARIA chart. At that year's ARIA Music Awards it won Breakthrough Artist - Release and was up for Best Female Artist, and the J Awards shortlisted it for Australian Album of the Year.
